Product add-ons
Suggest a complementary product as a checkbox in the buy box — e.g., gift wrapping, extended warranty, sample sachet.
How to enable
- Customize → product page → main product section.
- Find Popular add-on settings.
- Check Show add-on.
- Pick the Add-on product from your catalog.
Settings
- Heading — small caps label (e.g. “Frequently bought together”).
- Add-on product — the product to suggest.
What happens at checkout
When the customer checks the add-on box and clicks Add to cart, Vesperia adds two line items: the main product AND the add-on as a separate item. The add-on also receives the line-item property _addon: <addon-title> so you can filter your orders / analytics.
Tips for picking the right add-on
- Price the add-on under 30% of the main product’s price.
- Pick products that have universal appeal (warranty, gift wrap, sample) rather than niche complements.
- Only enable on top-selling products to maximize attach rate.
