Menu icons, badges & sub-images
Add emoji or image icons next to menu items, attach badges (50% OFF, NEW), and put thumbnails on sub-links — all via the Menu item block.
The Menu item block
Header section → Add block → Menu item. Each block targets one specific menu link by its position (1 = first link, 2 = second, etc.) and lets you decorate it.
Settings reference
- Which menu link to decorate — a number from 1 to 20. This refers to the link’s position in the menu picked under Header → Navigation.
- Icon emoji — paste an emoji (✨, 🔥, 🛍) shown before the label.
- Icon image — small image alternative; overrides the emoji if both are set.
- Label text color (optional) — customize a single link’s color, e.g. green for “Templates”.
- Badge text — inline tag like “50% OFF”, “NEW”. Empty = no badge.
- Badge background + Badge text color — self-explanatory.
Sub-link thumbnails
The same block holds 6 slots for sub-link images. Each slot has:
- Sub-link N — position — 0 means unused. 1 = first sub-link, 2 = second, etc.
- Sub-link N — image — the circular thumbnail to display in the mobile menu.
Example: “Shop” with 50% off badge and 3 sub-thumbnails
Imagine your menu has links in this order: Home, Shop, Best sellers, About. To put a 50% OFF badge on Shop plus thumbnails on its 3 children:
- Add a Menu item block. Set
link_index = 2(Shop is position 2). - Type “50% OFF” in Badge text. Pick burgundy as badge background.
- In the same block, scroll to sub-links:
- Sub-link 1: position 1, image = serums thumbnail.
- Sub-link 2: position 2, image = creams thumbnail.
- Sub-link 3: position 3, image = essences thumbnail.
The mobile drawer now shows Shop [50% OFF] with circular thumbnails on the children.
Tips
- You can add as many Menu item blocks as you need, one per link.
- The block only decorates — it does NOT create new menu items. The link itself still lives in Online Store → Navigation.
- If the link’s position in the menu changes, update the block’s
link_indexaccordingly.
